Te’LA New york, ny

With ethereal heartfelt ballads & trap jazzy serenades, the rowdy rebel and all round Sunny vibe creator is here to make her presence known. Hailing from North Brunswick, NJ, Te'La began singing in her church and school choir by the age of 7. Heavily influenced by the vocal stylings and iridescent musings of the late Phyllis Hyman, Lena Horne, Sade, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and Billie Holiday, her passion for music continued to steer her toward a career in as a performing artist. Her tenure with Howard University's Department of Theatre Arts allowed Te’La to explore her musical and theatrical interests and find her inner star. With delicately enchanting vocals and colorful harmonies, the Mezzo-Soprano songbird hopes to make a lasting impact touching souls with her music in the same fashion of her musical predecessors. Te'La remains rooted in her purpose on Earth, seeking to inspire all people to live not for others, but for their own truths.

Imagine cruising through the streets in a luxury car bumpin’ old Billy Holiday cuts on a sunny day—the experience of this Jersey-bred hummingbird is no different.

Out Of Bounds EP is the debut collection of melodic musings and introspective poetic stylings released by New York-based singer-songwriter, Te'La in early 2017.
